Built by two brothers who needed it themselves.

Daniel & Yhona, co-founders of Branchy.
We’re Yhona and Daniel, two brothers from Melbourne who have both experienced how frustrating Mathematical Methods can feel. Daniel graduated four years ago, and Yhona is currently studying Methods 3/4, so we understand the subject from both sides: looking back on it and living through it right now.
We both struggled at times, not because we weren’t willing to learn, but because the usual explanations didn’t always make sense. Methods is visual—you need to see graphs, equations and working unfold clearly. Yet most AI tutors still feel like ordinary chatbots.
That’s why we built Branchy together: a visual whiteboard tutor designed to explain Methods in a clearer, more interactive and human way. Outside of building Branchy, we both love sport and enjoy turning ambitious ideas into something useful for students like us.
The canopy
Three colours. Three reasons Branchy looks like this.
Every leaf on our logo stands for something we actually built — not just a nice-looking tree.
Pedagogy
No two students arrive the same way, so no two lessons look the same either. The answer on its own teaches nothing — Branchy walks you to it, so next time you can get there alone.
VCAA-aligned
Every worked example follows the same notation and working the real exam is marked against, built from VCAA's own curriculum materials.
Visual
We didn't want another chat window. Branchy speaks and draws the working live, the way we wished someone had taught us.
